Description

Uses

Runomex Fort is primarily used for the treatment of Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Ankylosing spondylitis. It can also be used as an associated treatment for various other conditions, such as Dental Pain, Neuropathic Pain, Inflammatory Pain, Pauciarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, Polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, chronic or unspecified, and Postoperative pain.

Mechanism of Action

Runomex Fort contains Meloxicam, which reversibly inhibits the cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 (COX-1 and -2) enzymes. This action results in the reduced synthesis of prostaglandin precursors, which are substances that contribute to inflammation. Moreover, this drug exerts preferential actions against COX-2, which may reduce the possible gastrointestinal effects of this drug.

Side Effects

As with other NSAIDs, prolonged use of Meloxicam can result in renal or cardiovascular impairment or thrombotic cardiovascular events. Despite Meloxicam preferentially inhibiting COX-2 and thought to cause less gastrointestinal irritation compared to other NSAIDs, it still carries a risk of gastric inflammation, bleeding, and ulceration.

Conclusion

Runomex Fort is a medication that contains Meloxicam, an oxicam derivative that exhibits analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is primarily used for the treatment of Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, and Ankylosing spondylitis, and can also be used for the treatment of various other conditions.

While it is generally well-tolerated, like other NSAIDs, it can cause side effects such as renal or cardiovascular impairment, thrombotic cardiovascular events, gastric inflammation, bleeding, and ulceration. As with any medication, it is essential to speak with your healthcare provider to determine if Runomex Fort is right for you.

Cyberchondria

The truth is that when we’re sick, or worried about getting sick, the internet won’t help.

According to Wikipedia, cyberchondria is a mental disorder consisting in the desire to independently make a diagnosis based on the symptoms of diseases described on Internet sites.

Why you can't look for symptoms on the Internet

If diagnoses could be made simply from a textbook or an article on a website, we would all be doctors and treat ourselves. Nothing can replace the experience and knowledge of specially trained people. As in any field, in medicine there are unscrupulous specialists, differences of opinion, inaccurate diagnoses and incorrect test results.
