      Ultravist 300 is an iodinated contrast agent used for intravenous procedures such as angiography, arteriography, ventriculography, aortography, venography, urography, and Computed Tomography (CT). It is a prescription medicine. Ultravist 300 is contraindicated for intrathecal use. Inadvertent intrathecal administration may cause death, convulsions, cerebral hemorrhage, coma, paralysis, arachnoiditis, acute renal failure, cardiac arrest, seizures, rhabdomyolysis, hyperthermia, and brain edema.
