Dosage
The recommended starting dose for major depression is 75 mg of Sulinex XR daily. Patients who do not respond to the initial dose may benefit from a dose increase up to a maximum daily dose of 375 mg. The recommended starting dose for generalized anxiety disorder is 75 mg of Sulinex XR daily.
Patients who do not respond to the initial dose may benefit from a dose increase up to a maximum daily dose of 225 mg. For social phobia, the recommended dose is 75 mg of Sulinex XR daily.
There is no evidence that higher doses provide additional benefits. However, in patients who do not respond to the initial dose, the dose may be increased up to a maximum daily dose of 225 mg. It is essential to take Sulinex XR with food, and each tablet should be swallowed whole with liquid. Avoid dividing, crushing, chewing, or mixing the tablet with water.
Contraindications
Sulinex XR should not be used in patients who are hypersensitive to venlafaxine hydrochloride or any of its components. Also, it should not be used in combination with MAO inhibitors.
Side Effects
