Description
How it Works
Apranax Fort Film Coated Tablet contains Naproxen Sodium, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking your body’s production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. This medication reversibly inhibits the cyclooxygenase-1 and -2 (COX-1 and -2) enzymes, which reduces the synthesis of prostaglandin precursors. This action results in the reduction of pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness caused by various conditions.
Usage
Apranax Fort Film Coated Tablet is primarily used to relieve symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, both of acute flares and long-term management of the disease. It is also used to treat rheumatoid osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, brusitis, acute gout, acute musculoskeletal disorders (such as sprains, direct trauma, and fibrositis), migraine, and dysmenorrhoea.
Possible Side Effects
Like other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, Apranax Fort Film Coated Tablet may rarely increase the risk for a heart attack or stroke. This effect can happen at any time while taking this drug but is more likely if you take it for a long time. The risk may be greater in older adults or if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease. To minimize the risk of side effects, do not take this drug right before or after heart bypass surgery (CABG).
Another possible side effect is bleeding from the stomach or intestines, which can occur without warning at any time while taking this drug. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. Stop taking Apranax Fort Film Coated Tablet and seek medical help right away if you experience stomach or abdominal pain that doesn’t go away, black or tarry stools, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest or jaw or left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, confusion, weakness on one side of the body, trouble speaking, or sudden vision changes.
How to Use
If you are taking the over-the-counter product, read all directions on the product package before taking this medication. If your doctor has prescribed this medication, read the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start taking naproxen and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually 2 or 3 times a day with a full glass of water (8 ounces/240 milliliters). To prevent stomach upset, take this medication with food, milk, or an antacid, and do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this drug.
Conclusion
Apranax Fort Film Coated Tablet is a reliable medication for relieving pain, inflammation, and joint stiffness caused by various conditions. However, like any medication, it has possible side effects that you need to watch out for. Make sure to follow the proper dosage and consult your doctor if you experience any adverse reactions.
