Zepahex is a film tablet that contains bosentan, a substance that blocks a hormone called endotelin-1 that causes blood vessels to narrow. It is used to treat pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) and digital ulcers (sores on the fingers) in patients with scleroderma. The usual dose for adults is 125 mg twice a day, after starting with 62.5 mg twice a day for 4 weeks.
Zepahex is a prescription medicine that should only be used under the guidance of a doctor. It is not suitable for everyone and has some contraindications, which means conditions or situations where it should not be used. Some examples are:
Allergy to bosentan or any other ingredient of Zepahex,
